Commeeee tooooo meeee, black hole of musssiiiccc!
Sarah Brightman, the original Christine Daae from The Phantom of the Opera, has decided to bring her exquisite voice to infinity and beyond and will blast off into SPACE as part of a ten day orbital spaceflight mission.
The world renowned recording artist will orbit Earth with the International Space Station about 16 times during her galactic musical adventure, and she hopes to be the first professional singer to pierce the vacuum of space with her signature vocals!
Sarah also views the ISS, which essentially mandates inhabitants to be peaceful and SHARE its limited resources, as a model for how Earthlings should live!
Sarah recently dished on her future galaxy quest, expressing:
“I don’t think of myself as a dreamer. Rather, I am a dream chaser. I hope that I can encourage others to take inspiration from my journey both to chase down their own dreams and to help fulfill the important UNESCO mandate to promote peace and sustainable development on Earth and from space. I am determined that this journey can reach out to be a force for good, a catalyst for some of the dreams and aims of others that resonate with me.”
Sarah also has a new album coming out called Dreamchaser, which will only be released via inter-planetary sonar in January 2013. Or maybe you can get it on iTunes too…
Can’t wait to hear you sing from Space, Sarah! You’re totally gonna go spaceBALLZ out, we just know it!
