Joss Whedon To Write And Direct Avengers 2, Develop Live Action Superhero Series For ABC

Joss Whedon, the man the myth the legend responsible for writing and directing The Avengers has signed up to give audiences more of the same.
Furthermore, Joss, a.k.a. the guy who created Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly, is returning to his small screen roots in an attempt to help ABC develop a live action TV show that exists in the same comic book universe.
Marvel bigwigs announced the fantabulous news in a statement on Monday, saying:
“Joss Whedon has signed an exclusive deal with Marvel Studios for film and television through the end of June 2015. As part of that deal, Whedon will write and direct Marvel’s The Avengers 2 as well as help develop a new live action series for Marvel Television at ABC. He will also contribute creatively to the next phase of Marvel’s cinematic universe.”
