Hunger Games News: Philip Seymour Hoffman Cast As Plutarch Heavensbee?

At least they have FINALLY made ONE casting decision!!
While producers claim to have no idea who will land the role of District 4 sexpot, Finnick Odair, (UGH!) they have selected an actor to play a less sexy pivotal role in The Hunger Games sequel.
The part of the new Gamemaker, Plutarch Heavensbee has been offered to Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman.
As you may recall, Seneca Crane (the Gamemaker from the last flick) was fired murdered at the end of the movie. Plutarch is a little older and a LOT wiser than his predecessor — and we think Mr. Hoffman is PERRRFECT for the part!
If the acclaimed actor takes the job of Gamemaker, it will set the scene for other award winning actors to volunteer as tribute for Hunger Games: Catching Fire too!!
Nothing wrong with any of that! Meryl Streep? Are you available? We could find a part for you too! Someone is going to have to play President Coin in Mockingjay!
